It's a fast-growing industry, but slow to change. Most of this power is still generated from fossil fuel sources, but it doesn't need to be this way.

We are on a mission to show good high-quality tech does not always have to be bad for the planet. This industry relies on energy to run. As of 2022 it was estimated 240–340TWh was used per year (Source: Data Centers & Networks, IEA).

It is a fast-growing industry, but slow to change how its power is generated. A lot of companies in the industry still generate power through fossil fuels. At Mistla Ltd we power our data centers through the National Grid. However, in our new data center being built in Exeter we are planning on building a 2-acre solar farm to combat the amount of power used.
